Don’t Miss… Spring in The Walled Gardens

Carpets of blue envelop the Blue Garden as scilla, chionodoxa and anemone announce that a new season has arrived. Tens of thousands of annuals and bulbs provide an exuberant display of colour to visitors, a welcome sight after winter.

Look out for our magnificent cerise pink Magnolia, over twenty metres high in the Australasia Garden. Many cultivars of Cherry, one of which was planted by HRH the Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward in 2009, can also be admired. This great white cherry was thought to be lost to cultivation, until its rediscovery during the 1920s in a Sussex garden!
